Role:
HCLTech are looking for an enthusiastic Senior User Researcher to join a small design team and support a new client project. The successful candidate will have a real and meaningful impact on building a new client account, by conducting user research, supporting their team, project and client. The project will be focused on the transformation of internal financial reporting & MI for senior managers and business leaders of a Teir-1 financial institution… The successful candidate will conduct ground level discovery with internal consumers of finance management reporting, including:
* Discovery planning & coordination (target participants, segmentation, approach & logistics).
* User engagement (execution of in-person and remote user-focussed sessions, documentation of user-needs, session findings, personas & user journeys).
* User & stakeholder workshop facilitation – including service-design, journey mapping, design-thinking workshops across design sprints.
* Design iteration & development through task-based testing of designs with representative users, design team support & user advocacy.
* Knowledge transfer /handover to internal client teams, and communication of project activities to project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, dynamic, intelligent, and enthusiastic – with a passion for UCD - and possesses the following competencies /attributes:
* Applicants should have at least 8-10 years’ experience in digital User Experience and User Research (preferably focused on complex organizations e.g. banking, insurance, transport, law, central government).
* A BSc, MSc or PhD in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology or related social-sciences field is required along with degree-level design-education.
* Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams (the successful candidate will work closely with UX /Product /Visual and Interaction Designers, Developers and Project Managers - to bring the user’s needs to life).
* Experience of producing a range of user research deliverables - strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills are expected (examples of work are required).
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and experience in Client /Stakeholder /Relationship Management.
* Articulate and well presented – the successful candidate will be interfacing with Client organization Stakeholders - at all levels, and will be an ambassador, building the new client’s experience of HCLTech.
* A self-starting team player, with strong organisational skills, and a great eye for detail.
The ideal candidate also excels with the following:
* Qualitative and quantitative analysis tools, MS Office Suite (including Visio or Omnigraffle).
* Design & remote collaboration /facilitation tools.
