Nixon McQuade is excited to partner with a leading business in Dungannon in their search for a dedicated Inventory Controller to join their team.
The Inventory Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of the Stores Department, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and ensuring prompt and accurate flow of materials to Production in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are sufficient to meet operational needs.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies in orders.
* Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and address discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
* Optimise inventory processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and logistics, to streamline inventory management processes.
* Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to minimise excess or obsolete stock.
* Prepare and analyse inventory reports to provide insights to management and support decision-making.
What you'll need:
* 3 years' experience in inventory / stock management or related roles.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Prior experience in the electrical industry is a plus.
