Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of People, you will enable swim! and swim@ in the effective delivery of a People Strategy, focusing on recruitment, training, and people development to support our operational teams. Your role includes designing, implementing, and reviewing learning and development products, as well as tutoring, assessing, and quality assuring L&D solutions across our business to develop and inspire our people, ensuring a high-quality workforce to achieve customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop specific L&D products aligned with our people strategy and targets.
* Plan, deliver, and assess qualifications and training in line with business needs.
* Support administration of compliance and L&D processes related to awarding organizations.
* Assist with recruitment, training, development, and retention initiatives.
* Maintain quality policies to ensure robust training and equal access to opportunities.
* Contribute to storytelling about our people and internal reviews for continuous improvement.
* Support recruitment events and campaigns.
* Facilitate effective inductions, training, and mentoring for new staff.
* Utilize social media for recruitment and brand awareness.
* Build positive relationships with stakeholders.
* Provide reports on L&D needs, venues, and training opportunities.
* Stay updated on industry trends and maintain relevant licensing and authorizations.
* Seek continual improvement through feedback and expand skill sets.
* Ensure all training complies with policies and legal requirements.
* Work professionally and positively with internal teams and partners.
Person Specification
Knowledge
* Qualifications in relevant areas (e.g., ASA/SEQ/STA Level 2 Teaching Swimming, RLSS, PWTAG).
* Approved aquatic tutor/educator qualifications.
* Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent.
* Assessors or internal quality assurance qualifications.
* Knowledge of operational standards in sport and leisure.
* Understanding of legal and safety standards.
* Ongoing professional development and vocational experience.
Experience
* Minimum 2 years in a leisure environment, recent experience preferred.
* Managing teams and programs.
* Facility management and compliance experience.
* Developing blended learning interventions.
* Working under pressure to meet targets.
