Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance and mechanical knowledge, prior experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely.
Duties
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mobile plant.
* Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
* Assisting the maintenece engineer with reactive and proactive maintence tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
* Ability to work with a team or on your own troubleshooting problems.
* Collaborate with line manager to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.
* Electrical experience is highly desirable.
* Previous supervisory experience is a plus, showcasing capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
