The Opportunity
An established and growing manufacturer within the medical device sector is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team. This is a key role focused on maintaining high standards across quality systems, regulatory compliance, and product performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and uphold quality criteria for all products, ensuring consistency, safety, and reliability.
2. Maintain and continuously improve company-wide quality systems in line with national standards and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO13485, ISO14001).
3. Promote a culture of quality excellence across all departments.
4. Work closely with compliance teams to align on Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) systems.
5. Develop and implement best-practice quality strategies and processes to support overall business performance.
6. Ensure proactive quality control to deliver products and services that meet high customer expectations.
7. Support the maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 13485 and ISO 9001, and assist with third-party audits.
8. Lead investigations into quality issues, including those identified through inspections, complaints, or returns.
9. Manage and maintain Quality Control plans using a risk-based approach; record results through the MRP system.
