We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Oversee the meal preparation process, ensuring quality and presentation meet our high standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
