We’re recruiting qualified Nurses to join our client as Nurse Assessors in Reading. This hybrid position offers a mix of home working and onsite assessments at your local consultation centre. Applications are also welcomed from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. You’ll carry out functional health assessments for individuals applying for disability‑related benefits, helping decision-makers understand how health conditions impact daily life. This is a non-treatment, assessment‑focused role with full training provided. What You’ll Do Conduct telephone, video, or face‑to‑face functional assessments in a supportive, non‑clinical environment Gather and analyse information on how conditions affect daily living Review medical evidence and claimant documentation Produce clear, structured clinical reports for DWP decision‑makers What You’ll Need Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience as a Nurse, OT or Physio Current NMC or HCPC registration Strong communication, observation and IT skills Ability to produce accurate, structured written reports What’s on Offer Salary: £45,500 Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (no nights, weekends or bank holidays) Hybrid working: Minimum 2 days per week in the Reading assessment centre Benefits Include: 25 days annual leave bank holidays (option to buy more) Pension scheme (up to 6% contribution) Health & wellbeing support Retail & leisure discounts Paid volunteering day Structured training programme and genuine career progression Is This Role for You?
