We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort in a care home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff, contributing to a positive atmosphere within the facility.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
* Communicate regularly with residents, their families, and other team members to address any concerns or changes in health status.
* Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
* Drive initiatives that promote resident engagement and well-being within the care home setting.
Experience
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff preferred.
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
* IT proficiency for maintaining records and using care management software is advantageous.
* Level 3 in health and social care, along with medication training
