Alternative Provision Mentor – Boston

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Alternative Provision Mentor to support secondary school students across Boston. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will work closely with students who may require additional behavioural, emotional, or pastoral support within alternative provision or specialist education settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Build positive relationships and encourage engagement in learning
* Support students with behavioural and emotional needs
* Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams
* Help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment
* Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people or vulnerable students
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* The ability to build trust and positive relationships
* A genuine passion for supporting students’ development
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
