Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a field-based Vehicle Technician/ Field Service Engineer. As a Field Service Engineer your role will be to maintain repair and respond to issues in the fleet of vehicles in your area.
This Field Service Engineer role gives you the opportunity to work across the Midlands, paid door to door. If you have a background in plant, specialist vehicle or HGVs then this role may suit you. Standard hours (Monday to Friday) are normally 45 hours with flexibility around start & finish times, anything over this is paid at an enhanced overtime rate.
The Field Service Engineer will focus on the servicing, maintenance and repair of a full range of municipal sweeper machines, refuse vehicles and gully tankers.
As the Field Service Engineer you will responsible for:
* Fault diagnosis, repair and routine maintenance of sweepers and other company equipment
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines
* Keeping up to date with administrative responsibilities ensuring that all routine maintenance or repair work is subject of an accurate and timely written report
* Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup emc depots and customers locations
* Providing technical advice to third party engineers where required
To be successful Field Service Engineer will hold:
* Level 3 C&G qualification (Engineering) or equivalent
* Previous experience working as a Field Service Engineer / Vehicle Technician or (Commercial Automotive / Plant/ Industrial/ HGV / Machinery)
* Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, engines, gearboxes, electrics, braking system or sweeper vehicles.
* Full valid UK driving licence
