Role: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of 3 trading companies within this companies Group. This role is responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with strategic thinking and team leadership. The role will require attendance and active contribution at board meetings and provide support to the managing director and chairman for these entities along with reporting to the financial controller for the wider group. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Analyse financial performance, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare management reports and dashboards to support business decision-making. Reporting & Compliance Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes. Cash Flow & Treasury Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability. Assist with banking relationships and payment processing. Forecast short- and long-term cash requirements. Tax Compliance Oversee the preparation and timely filing of VAT and corporation tax returns. Some knowledge of import and export rules for VAT and duties would be helpful Team Management Lead and support a small finance or accounting team. Supervise daily operations including purchase ledger, credit control, payroll, and general ledger tasks. Provide mentorship, training, and performance management for team members. Process Improvement & Controls Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentation and compliance. Support financial system implementations or upgrades. Experience Required Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred) 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, with 2 years in a managerial role Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) Proficiency in financial software Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to work both strategically and hands-on Experience with multi-entity or group structures Exposure to ERP systems and financial automation tools To apply please submit your CV or contact me on 07984 199519 to discuss.
