Youth Worker Lampeter Youth Café (SA48) Part-time / Full-time options available Location: Lampeter, SA48 Our client has opened a Youth Café and they are seeking an enthusiastic, supportive, and community-minded Youth Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people grow and thrive in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. As a Youth Worker, you will: Support young people aged 1118 through informal education, activities, and conversation. Create a warm, inclusive space where young people feel listened to, respected, and valued. Help plan, deliver, and evaluate sessions, workshops, and community projects. Act as a positive role model, promoting wellbeing, confidence, and life skills. Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, families, and local organisations. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and café policies are followed at all times. Were looking for someone who is: Friendly, patient, and able to build trust with young people. Creative and proactive, with plenty of ideas for engaging café activities. Confident in managing groups and handling challenging situations calmly. Passionate about youth empowerment and community development. Willing to work some evenings and weekends. Desirable: Experience in youth work, education, social care, or community settings. Desirable: Youth work qualification (or willingness to work towards one). Essential: An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
