Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s client is keen to add a Financial Accountant to their team on a permanent basis in Stirling. The company is a new start-up that has recently acquired new investment to grow the business from their headquarters in Aberdeen.
This excellent opportunity involves working primarily within the finance function to provide timely and accurate financial information. It is ideal for an individual who can bring new ideas and help lead and deliver results to senior management and support the company's wider ambitions.
Key duties of the role include:
1. Support the Finance Team in driving the delivery, utilisation, and efficiency of financial processes and resources.
2. Prepare financial Year-End Accounts under IFRS/UK GAAP.
3. Experience in preparing & reviewing financial statements, VAT returns, tax returns (CT600s).
4. Support due diligence on growth plans.
5. Work confidently both independently and as part of a team; build and maintain client & customer relationships.
6. Communicate effectively with verbal & written skills essential for the Senior Management team.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified or qualified by experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing year-end accounts.
3. Strong analytical skills and ability to handle various financial reporting and system-related queries.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Experience with accounting software (desirable Xero).
