Endeavour Co-operative Academy, part of Keys Co-operative Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Science teacher for a one-year fixed-term contract (01/09/2025 - 31/08/2026). The successful candidate will contribute to the high-quality teaching and learning at our school. Applications from primary or secondary trained teachers are welcome; the position is suitable for a Primary Science specialist as well as Secondary.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Endeavour as we expand. We will be opening an additional class for Key Stage 3 and establishing a primary Complex Needs provision from September 2025. The school is undergoing a complete redevelopment funded by the DfE for learners aged 5-16, due to be completed in 2026, with further redevelopment of the sixth form site funded by Essex.
The successful candidate will teach Science within Key Stages 3 & 4. All teachers are expected to be versatile and able to teach anywhere within the school. Experience or willingness to teach vocational courses will be advantageous.
Endeavour joined Keys Cooperative Trust in December 2018, when converting to an academy. The school is part of ESSET, the association of Essex special schools.

Information about the School
Endeavour Co-operative Academy is a 5–19 school for 172 students, all with EHCPs. The primary need of pupils is Moderate Learning Difficulties. Classes typically have around 12 pupils with 1.5 Teaching Assistants. All teachers are class tutors, responsible for registration, reports, and Annual Reviews.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment procedures to ensure safeguarding. Appropriate checks and clearances will be required.
Construction of a new building commenced in January 2024, expected to be completed by September 2025 or January 2026.
