Company Overview: A long established and independently owned consultancy that employs over 150 staff. Their building structures division is working on new high-rise schemes, data centres, renewable energy, healthcare, education and industrial projects. The firm has a reputation for their Innovative, practical, and economical structural designs, and the customer care they provide. They have a strong technical ability across building structures, civil structures, marine, geotechnical and developer led infrastructure disciplines. Overseeing this is a team of chartered civil and chartered structural engineers, who also provide IStructE and ICE approved training. The practice provides good terms and conditions of employment and enjoys a low level of staff turnover. Your Role: With the support and guidance of an associate, you will be involved in detail design production and delivery. You will gain insight into the whole design process from concept stages, through to completion, and will attend design team meetings. There will be occasional site visits and contact with client representatives. Your projects will predominantly be designed for steel and reinforced concrete construction. You will use their licenced structural design software including AutoCAD, Tekla, SCIA and Robot. Profile Required: At least two years structural design experience with a focus on building structures. You should be degree qualified, and ideally a graduate member of the IStructE or ICE. A willingness to learn and develop is essential. Hybrid Working: Their engineers usually have the opportunity to work two days per week from home, after three months office based employment.
