Revenues and Benefits Assistant / Officer
We are seeking suitably qualified revenues practitioners, including business rates experts, with a strong customer service background and excellent negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in maximising cash collection, particularly in challenging economic environments, and possess confidence in communicating effectively with residents. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact!
This is primarily an office-based position with some blended working arrangements and may require occasional out-of-hours work to enhance debt recovery efforts. Successful candidates will need experience in customer service, strong verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail, especially in debt recovery. You should be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and a collaborative team player. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, engaging with customers through multiple channels—such as inbound and outbound calls and face-to-face contact at our Contact Centre—and ensuring all cases are resolved in accordance with statutory regulations, policies, and procedures while maximising cash collection.
