Nursing Associate (Adult Integrated Respiratory Team)
Join our award-winning Adult Integrated Respiratory (AIR) Team in East Berkshire. We provide specialist care for people with long‑term respiratory conditions across home, community and hospital settings. Our service includes pulmonary rehabilitation, admission avoidance, supported discharge, oxygen therapy, psychological support and palliative care. Working closely with primary and voluntary care providers, we deliver compassionate, person‑centred care.
As a Nursing Associate, you will support the team in delivering high‑quality respiratory care across acute and community settings. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Provide planned care under the supervision of a registered clinical practitioner, delivering a seamless service for patients by always working safely and within scope of practice.
* Under supervision initially, attend to patients in their homes, carrying out follow‑up assessments under the supervision of a registered clinical practitioner.
* Deliver patient education at pulmonary rehabilitation classes and patients’ homes when required.
* Assist in assessment and safety visits of patients being considered or established on home oxygen, under the direction of a registered practitioner (training will be provided).
* Provide training as agreed with supervisor to patients, their families, carers and students.
* Provide training to patients with digital monitoring as required and monitor the dashboard as it develops.
* Maintain the in‑hospital database and perform other organisational tasks required by the service, including assisting in National Audit data collection (e.g., COPD, Asthma audits and virtual ward reporting).
