West Lancashire Borough Council is looking for a proactive and customer based individual to join our dedicated Housing Adaptations Team.
This challenging and vital role supports the team in delivering adaptations to homeowners, private rented tenants and residents in registered social landlord properties, making property modifications to improve accessibility, safety and independence for individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or mobility challenges. These adaptations help ensure that our residents can live comfortably and safely in their homes, ensuring efficient and seamless service delivery across West Lancashire.
You will assist the Housing Adaptations team deliver adaptations to West Lancs private residents, making modifications to their home to improve accessibility, safety, and independence for individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or mobility challenges. These adaptations help ensure that our residents can live comfortably and safely in their homes
As the Housing Adaptations Co-rdinator, you will be responsible for providing professional, flexible and resilient support to the Housing Adaptations Team, contributing to improvements with positive change.
Delivering efficient, comprehensive and attentive administration services as directed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained within the management systems for the services supported.
Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries relating to the Housing Adaptations Team, managing approval of all grants, interim and final payments to contractors, processing Winter Warm Scheme and Home Repair Assistance grants, appointments, and the allocation of jobs to each Technical Officer. You will be responsible for producing monthly budget reports pn Private and Council housing properties.
Communicating effectively with colleagues across West Lancashire Borough Council, residents, external contractors and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth coordination and delivery of services.
As a member of the Housing Adaptations Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Housing Adaptations Manager to ensure compliance with our statutory obligations.
