Electrical Technician
New Holland, Humberside
£45,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts (06:00–15:00) + occasional weekend work (as required)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Technician to join a leading bulk terminal operation based in Barton upon Humber. The Electrical Technician will play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy industrial plant and ship loading equipment within a fast-paced port environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement of bulk materials critical to UK supply chains.

The Candidate;
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is required
Strong experience in electrical fault finding
Experience working on plant machinery or heavy industrial equipment
Previous exposure to ship loading or bulk handling systems (desirable)
Understanding of permit-to-work systems and health & safety compliance
HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), or apprentice trained with further qualifications
Proven experience in a heavy industrial environment (e.g. ports, manufacturing, mining, quarrying, or processing)
Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, and industrial electrical systems
Good understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Duties and Responsibilities;
Carry out electrical maintenance on heavy industrial plant and machinery
Diagnose faults and complete repairs on industrial electrical systems
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support
Work on ship loading systems and bulk material handling equipment
Ensure safe isolation of equipment before maintenance activities
Complete accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation
Operate within strict permit-to-work and health & safety procedures
