WMR Waste Solutions are a Waste Consultancy Business specialising in the Commercial and Construction industries, offering waste solutions nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering high level customer service across all aspects of our business.

Job Purpose
The Compliance Coordinator will support the organisation in meeting its legal and regulatory obligations within the waste management sector. The role will focus on maintaining accurate records, producing customer compliance reports, assisting the Business Operations Manager with audits and inspections, and ensuring day-to-day compliance activities are carried out effectively.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
The duties are many and varied, but the list below is considered to be the basic requirement:

* Responsible for monitoring compliance with waste management legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements, liaising with suppliers and customers to obtain information where required.
* Maintain accurate compliance documentation, registers, and records. This includes duty of care documents for customers, site permits, waste transfer notes from suppliers, Season tickets, consignment notes, Insurances. Checks to be made on every document to ensure it has been completed correctly and is uploaded to the CRM system.
* Follow up on non scheduled orders to ensure WTNs have been correctly completed and records have been saved.
* Responsible for setting up new suppliers, ensuring they are quality checked to meet standards required.
* Overall management of the Approved Suppliers List, which forms part of ISO9001. This document will need to be up to date at all times, with routine quarterly checks to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Ensure the company CRM system is updated with compliance data/records/evidence.
* Produce and send customer Recycling/Compliance reports when required.
* Support the 'Data Co-ordinator' covering workloads in times of absence.
* Support the Business Operations Manager with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and following up on corrective actions.
* Provide administrative support to the business when required.
* Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQURIED TO DO THE JOB

* Good knowledge or awareness of UK waste management regulations (desirable).
* Previous experience in compliance, environmental, or administrative support role ideally within waste, recycling, or environmental services (desirable).
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills (essential).
* Good written and verbal communication skills (essential).
* Competent IT skills and previous use of CRM systems (essential).
* Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail (essential).
* Ability to cope under pressure.
* Self-motivated and a positive can-do attitude.
