The Opportunity: An excellent primary school in Bexley is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their dedicated teaching team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 4 students, ensuring that all areas of the National Curriculum are covered and learning is adapted to meet individual needs. * Assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to support and challenge all students. * Establish a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages high standards of behavior, engagement, and learning. * Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, ensuring consistency and high standards across the school. * Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and encouraging their involvement in the school community. * Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities. Person Specification: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * A sound understanding of the Year 4 curriculum, with experience in delivering creative and engaging lessons. * Proven ability to assess student progress and use this data to inform planning and ensure effective differentiation. * Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. * A commitment to professional development and a passion for supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
