Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Geography Teacher to join the school from September 2025 on a 12-week temporary to permanent basis. This is a part-time teaching role, ideal for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher eager to contribute to a dynamic Humanities department and make a lasting impact on students understanding of the world.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with departmental and school policies
* Foster a classroom culture that supports curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking
* Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams and coursework where applicable
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency and innovation
* Promote and uphold the school's ethos, with sensitivity to its religious values
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A relevant degree in Geography or related subject
* Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 in a UK school setting
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the discipline
* Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
* A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Desirable:
* Experience teaching in a faith-based or single-gender school
* Familiarity with recent curriculum developments in Geography
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
