Overview
Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a renewable energy company to recruit a Wind Turbine Service Technician for its site in East Scotland on a 10-month fixed-term contract, with potential future opportunities available. The role offers a salary up to £45k plus overtime opportunities and an on-call allowance.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned maintenance and servicing on Siemens 2.3 and Nordex N80 wind turbines.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
* Complete maintenance paperwork and service records accurately.
* Support the wider team to improve turbine performance and reliability.
* Take part in the on-call rota for breakdown response, including weekends and out-of-hours work.
* Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules.
* Maintain PPE, tools, and company vehicles to a high standard.
* Assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements when required.
* Communicate effectively with the control room and site management teams.
Professional Qualifications
* Full GWO certificates and valid medical.
* Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance within heavy industry or renewables.
* Wind turbine experience on Siemens and/or Nordex turbines is essential.
* Electrical or Mechanical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent is an advantage.
* Knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
* Previous AT or CT experience is an advantage.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office.

* Keen to continue learning and developing within the wind industry.
