Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the school:
Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?
We are working with a warm, inclusive specialist setting in Rochdale that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of their pupils.
🧩 About the role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions
Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day
Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support teamWhat We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively
A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
Strong understanding of Autism and SEND
A relevant TA qualificationTo be eligible you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related referencesThis is a full-time position starting in ASAP September 2025.
