You will be working with patients who are under the care of the surgical teams in a range of regional speciality services.
Thoracic surgery - Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery - Hepato-Billary surgery - Max-Fax surgery - ENT surgery - Lower Gastrointestinal surgery
You will be working with the surgical and nursing teams to embed Therapies in all aspects of surgical care, fully optimising timely care and patient flow. You will be part of the patient pathway from high care through to discharge

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is already a skilled clinician with previous related experience. They will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both service users and staff. They will need to be creative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service.
They will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate emerging leadership qualities and take an active interest in teaching and development of others.
The post holder will manage their own caseload, whilst working as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Technicians and Speech and Language Therapists.
In service training programs and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.
The post holder will be committed to 1:4 weekend working + 2 bank holidays throughout a year.
