Job Description:
A prestigious global technology research center based in London is seeking a visionary AI Systems Architect to redefine how intelligent features are built into the core of smart device operating systems.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead architectural innovation at the intersection of AI and OS design. The successful candidate will help drive the evolution of next-generation intelligent platforms by integrating advanced machine learning capabilities at the system level.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect next-generation operating system components that natively support AI functionalities, enabling efficient model execution and intelligent resource management.
* Embed advanced machine learning techniques into OS frameworks to enhance power efficiency, scheduling, and real-time responsiveness across device classes.
* Design and implement adaptive application frameworks that enable AI-driven user experiences.
* Monitor and evaluate developments in system-level intelligence and emerging AI technologies.
* Define long-term technology roadmaps and identify innovation opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
* Produce detailed technical specifications and architectural documentation to support integration and development teams.
* Collaborate with internal and external experts to assess and implement competitive AI innovations.
* Extensive knowledge of operating system architecture, including low-level systems programming.
* Proven track record in applying AI/ML techniques at the system level, particularly within intelligent or embedded platforms.
* Strong analytical and strategic planning skills; capable of shaping long-term technology visions.
* Background in AI research, including one or more of: natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or machine reasoning.
* Demonstrated experience leading advanced research projects and integrating results into production environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on strategic collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
* PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
* Publications in top-tier AI or systems conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, OSDI).
* Experience bringing AI-powered products to market, especially within consumer electronics or mobile ecosystems.
* Familiarity with mobile OS frameworks and knowledge of AI acceleration (e.g., NPU, GPU, DSP).
