HLTA – Orrell

A supportive primary school in Orrell is looking to appoint a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, delivering high-quality interventions, and contributing to strong progress across the school.
The Role:
* Support high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
* Deliver engaging, well-structured learning activities and small-group interventions.
* Cover lessons when required, following teachers’ planning and ensuring continuity of learning.
* Use effective assessment to guide support and adapt learning to meet pupils' needs.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
* Work closely with teaching staff and parents to support pupil development.
* Contribute to wider school life and help create a vibrant learning community.
You Will Need:
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective support strategies.
* Confidence in leading groups, delivering interventions, and covering lessons when required.
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* Creativity, organisation, and a nurturing, adaptable approach.
