Part‑Time Teacher of Agriculture
Location: Ysgol Bro Hyddgen (All‑through school, ages 4–18)
Contract: 13 hours, Part‑time, 2 days per week, (Fixed‑term until 31/08/27)
Start Date: September 2026
About the role
Ysgol Bro Hyddgen is seeking a passionate and committed part‑time teacher of agriculture to join our vibrant all‑through school. You will teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that develop students’ knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for land‑based studies, agriculture and related vocational pathways.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in agriculture and land‑based subjects across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
2. Develop engaging, practical learning experiences and assessment activities that meet curriculum and qualification requirements (GCSE, A‑level and/or vocational qualifications).
3. Track and report on student progress; provide timely feedback and targeted interventions to secure strong outcomes.
4. Contribute to the development of the Area of Learning for Agriculture and collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity between KS3, KS4 and KS5.
5. Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities related to agriculture and rural skills.
6. Maintain high standards of classroom management, health & safety and safeguarding.
7. This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
