Role Overview
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement standards and delivering best value. You will work alongside 4 other QSs and a procurement and pre-con team to allow you to focus on your own QS duties.
The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, taking full ownership of their workload, and delivering high-quality work with attention to detail and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
5. Manage the full QS function across multiple projects
6. Prepare, submit, and agree interim valuations and final accounts
7. Measure and value works, including variations
8. Ensure contractual compliance across all projects
9. Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
10. Produce cost reports and forecasts
11. Monitor and control project budgets
12. Support commercial team with framework reporting and audit processes
What We're Looking For
13. A steady and consistent CV demonstrating solid QS experience, ideally with a main contractor
14. Strong background in public sector project delivery
15. Excellent understanding of compliance and procurement standards
16. Ability to work independently and manage workload proactively
17. Eye for detail with a methodical and organised approach
18. Confident communicator who can build relationships with clients and internal teams
19. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Desirable Experience
20. Experience delivering projects under public sector frameworks
21. Exposure to both framework and competitively tendered projects
