As St Leonard’s Hospice embarks on a major project to expand its retail operation at Clifton Moor, we’re recruiting a Shop Manager to work in the furniture and £1 clearance shop to manage the day-to-day running of it, delivering an efficient, organised and customer focused operation to maximise income for the Hospice. Every interaction with our customers, whether that be through purchases or donations will help us to continue to provide care and support to local people with life limiting illnesses.
Responsibilities
* Maximise store sales, profits and meet KPIs through management of stock, visual merchandising and commercial analysis
* Provide a high level of customer service to donors and customers and uphold the Hospice values and Retail Service principles
* Line manage the shop team including paid staff and shop volunteers in the delivery of the shop retail plan by supporting and coaching them to reach their maximum potential
Qualifications
* Experience of working in the retail sector
* Experience of successfully managing staff and/or volunteers
* Proven interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels within the Hospice and to the general public
* Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail and prioritising workload and being able to use initiative to drive footfall and sales

Working Hours
This is a full time position working 5 days over 7 which will include weekend working on a rotational basis.
