Main duties of the job
The Trust is seeking to appoint a consultant forensic child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the existing team at Bluebird House. This is a full-time post with a potential to take up a leadership role as Clinical Lead for the unit.
Bluebird House is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, with non-consultant medical staff (specialty doctor, resident doctor), psychology, occupational therapy, social worker, nursing and health-care support work provision. There are excellent links with community services such as school nursing, podiatry, dietetics, sexual health, substance misuse services as well as with secondary care services via University Hospital Southampton.

Qualifications
Essential:
* Full Registration with the General Medical Council
* To hold Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post
* MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
* Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist and/or General Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist within 12 months of CCT at time of interview.
* Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
