ASSISTANT REPAIRS DELIVERY MANAGER - INSIDE IR35 - INITIAL 3 MONTHS
One of Lorien's East Renfrewshire based Public Sector clients is looking for an Assistant Repairs Delivery Manager to join their team on an initial 12-week contract based in their Barrhead Offices.
Main Duties
1. Provide day-to-day supervision of the Technical Officers, workforce planning, and admin team.
2. Oversee the provision of store management and the organisation's store.
3. Ensure all reported repairs are planned, monitored, and progressed according to procedures and within timescales.
4. Manage planned improvement works delivered by the Housing Maintenance Team, ensuring proper planning and monitoring.
5. Deploy trade staff effectively, monitor productivity, enforce procedures, and support disciplinary actions if necessary.
6. Implement and manage absence policies effectively.
7. Support system development and review procedures to produce performance and management information.
8. Manage subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance and adherence to procurement regulations.
9. Monitor and enforce procedures related to the Housing Maintenance Team.
10. Provide performance reports to the Repairs Delivery and Property & Strategy Manager.
11. Ensure employees receive appropriate training and supervision.
12. Support service transformation, embracing digital tools and new working methods.
13. Implement health and safety policies, ensuring statutory compliance to safeguard staff and the public.
14. Use resources efficiently and responsibly.
15. Uphold policies, statutes, and legislation relevant to the service.
16. Develop and implement personal and professional development plans.
17. Deputise for the Repairs Delivery Manager as required.
18. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
19. Handle complaints, ensure timely responses, and manage insurance claim inquiries.
20. Ensure electrical compliance, record inspection and testing results, and maintain records for inspection.
21. Safeguard certification and reporting documents.
22. Meet technical training and experience requirements.
23. Understand relevant electrical regulations and standards, including BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
24. Oversee electrical inspections, testing, verification, and certification processes.
25. Monitor and record electrical installation conditions across housing stock and coordinate inspections and testing programs.
