SEN Teaching Assistant – Rossendale (BB4)
Start Date: September 2026 | Full-Time Position
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly specialised school setting in the BB4 area from September on a full-time basis.
This setting supports pupils with complex learning difficulties, including PMLD, autism, and additional medical or sensory needs, and is well-equipped with specialist resources and a strong, supportive staff team.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs
* Support pupils with personal care and daily routines where required
* Assist with the delivery of tailored, sensory-based learning activities
* Help to promote communication, engagement, and independence
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with SEN, particularly complex needs or PMLD
* Background in a school or care setting
* Confident supporting pupils with additional needs and behaviours
* Comfortable supporting with personal care
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong teamwork and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
