We’re recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production environment, supporting the smooth running of essential equipment and machinery on a temporary full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with an electrical bias who thrives in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on both preventative and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carrying out scheduled inspections and maintenance on essential equipment
2. Responding efficiently to both planned and unplanned electrical/mechanical tasks
3. Monitoring production lines and identifying opportunities for improvement
4. Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
5. Supporting production teams with start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
6. Investigating and resolving recurring or significant technical issues
7. Proactively promoting and improving safety and GMP standards
8. Contributing to projects that reduce energy costs across operations
We are keen to see your CV if you have the following:
9. Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role (electrical and/or mechanical) within a manufacturing setting
10. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
11. Ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure
12. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
In exchange you will receive a competitive hourly pay rate of £18 – £19 depending on skills and experience plus accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment. Working full time Monday – Friday 7.30am – 15.45pm initially for one month but likely to be extended.
