Contract Type: 16 Months Fixed-Term Contract
Location: This opportunity is available to those who live within a commutable distance of Stratford-upon-Avon. There is an expectation of being in the office full time, we therefore recommend a maximum of one hour to / from base which for this role is CV37 7GZ. Please note there will be no reimbursement of travel to and from work.
Salary: £22,950 per year.

The BBC Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency (FJAA) is offering an exciting opportunity to be a Level 4 Junior Production Coordinator Apprentice.
Through the BBC’s Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency, you will be employed by the BBC and placed at FirstLookTV in Stratford-upon-Avon for duration of your apprenticeship. The BBC will work with FirstLookTV and Bauer Academy to oversee your successful progress on the apprenticeship.
The Level 4 Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship helps you gain experience in the exciting worlds of media production management. You’ll learn on-the-job, developing your knowledge and skills while working towards your production apprenticeship qualification with our learning provider, Bauer Academy.
FirstLookTV are an internationally established television production company creating a broad range of factual content. They produce high quality, innovative programming from factual, specialist factual, documentary and investigative programmes as well as studio entertainment. Their powerful, story-led content has produced high ratings and won multiple awards.
Main Responsibilities
What will you be doing on the apprenticeship?
* Support Production Managers (PMs) and Production Coordinators (PCs) in creating and maintaining production documents such as schedules, call sheets, and daily reports.
* Update and communicate changes to production schedules to relevant teams in a timely and clear manner.
* Work to ensure production milestones and deadlines are met across all stages of production.
* Complete and file essential post-production paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
* Manage release forms and ensure all necessary clearances are obtained for materials used in productions.
* Support the completion of Albert certification documentation and promote sustainable production practices.
* Contribute to the compliance of productions with health and safety policies, risk assessments, and legal requirements.
* Log production costs, reconcile expenses, and assist with financial tracking in line with production budgets.
* Identify, obtain, and manage production resources such as crew, facilities, and media assets, ensuring they are aligned with timelines and budgets.
* Clear and log assets for edits, ensuring all materials are properly tracked and accessible.
* Manage production workflows, resolving or escalating issues as needed to maintain smooth operations.
* Apply technical knowledge to support the delivery of content to the highest possible standard.
* Answer phone calls and emails professionally, acting as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners.
* Collaborate with colleagues and clients to meet production requirements and support the creative ambition of each project.
What will you be studying?
You’ll be studying your industry recognised qualification, learning both on- and off-the-job in a programme delivered by Bauer Academy and based on the apprenticeship standard. We’ll also give you BBC Academy training, delivered by our experienced trainers.
An apprenticeship requires full commitment and discipline from the learner. Alongside experiences and training, there is an expectation of wider self-learning and the requirement to meet learning objectives and deadlines, as outlined by the apprentice standards. Apprentices must show the BBC that they are dedicated to accomplishing the knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements outlined in their apprenticeship learning plan.

* Continuously develop skills and knowledge relevant to production coordination and the wider media industry.
* Passionate about their own self-development, showing the discipline and commitment required to complete the apprenticeship.
* Capable of building and maintaining professional relationships within the industry.
* Demonstrating maturity, discretion, and sensitivity when working with emotionally challenging or graphic subject matters.
To Be Eligible For This Apprenticeship, You Must
* Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts in September 2025.
* Live within a commutable distance of Stratford-upon-Avon.
* By the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
* Be eligible to work in the UK full-time for the duration of this fixed-term contract.
* Not currently be taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
To Apply For This Scheme, You Must Also
* Not have completed or hold qualifications in the apprenticeship subject at the same or higher level. If you do, we recommend applying for jobs at careers.bbc.co.uk or looking at other apprenticeship schemes at a higher level.
* Be available for the in-person assessment which will take place on Wednesday 30th July at BBC Birmingham.
* Be able to start on 15th September 2025.
