Job Summary: The food/drink runner is responsible for assisting the kitchen, bar and serving staff by delivering orders to customers' tables promptly and accurately. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask efficiently, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen, bar and serving staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Coordination: Receive food orders from the kitchen/ drink orders from the bar and ensure accuracy and completeness of each order before delivery to the respective tables.
Timely Delivery: Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food/drink items to customers while maintaining proper presentation and temperature of dishes.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bar staff, servers, and management to coordinate food/drink delivery schedules and any special requests or modifications.
Quality Control: Perform visual checks on food/drink items to ensure they meet quality standards, and address any issues or discrepancies with the kitchen/bar staff or servers.
Table Service Assistance: Assist servers as needed by refilling drinks, clearing tables, and providing any additional support required during peak hours.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food running area, including keeping food service stations and trays clean and well-stocked.
Customer Interaction: Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, address any inquiries or concerns, and ensure a positive dining experience.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
* Ability to lift and carry trays or plates of food safely.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
