Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based (7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm, depending on preference)

Glu Recruit are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy and growing finance function. This role will support the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong supplier relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial controls and supporting wider administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Processing purchase invoices, reconciling delivery notes with invoices and purchase orders
6. Checking invoices against internal cost systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with agreed terms
7. Requesting and processing supplier credits where required
8. Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing supplier records within the purchase ledger
9. Reviewing processes and systems to identify and implement efficiency improvements
10. Handling supplier queries and resolving invoice disputes in a timely manner
11. Filing invoices and statements, maintaining accurate records of all purchases
12. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and third-party partners
13. Creating and issuing accurate sales invoices via email and post
14. Supporting with general administrative duties as required
15. Contributing to a customer-focused approach across all areas of the business
The Successful Candidate:
16. Previous experience in a purchase ledger or finance administration role
17. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
18. Good organisational and time management skills
19. Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
20. Proactive approach with the ability to identify and suggest improvements
21. Competent IT skills, including experience with finance systems and Microsoft Office
22. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
