Graduate Structural Engineer
Torquay
This is a great opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic graduate structural engineer to join a successful, well established, civil and structural design practice near Torquay.
Working as a graduate structural engineer you will;
1. work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across
2. different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health.
3. working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will
4. improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering.
Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will
5. be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and
6. project management.
7. produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
8. prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS
9. Standards and Approved Codes of Practice
You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design
10. process
11. liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
12. Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings
The Candidate:
13. relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
14. 12 months experience working in an engineering environment
15. Enthusiastic self-motivated team player
good verbal and written communication skills
16. strong work ethic
17. ability to work under own initiative
18. A working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD
