Key Responsibilities
As a Pricing Actuary, you’ll:
Lead and support pricing initiatives across Bupa Global’s international health insurance products
Carry out rate reviews and make recommendations to improve product performance
Use advanced analytics and modelling techniques to support strategic decisions
Collaborate with international stakeholders to develop pricing strategies and tools
Analyse competitor pricing and market trends to inform our approach
Support cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert in pricing and analytics
Help identify and implement new data sources, tools and techniques to improve pricing accuracy and efficiency
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, collaborative and confident working with data. You’ll need:
To be a qualified actuary (IFoA or equivalent). This is essential, please specify on your application
Experience in pricing – ideally in international private medical insurance (IPMI), but we’re open to candidates from other insurance sectors
Strong skills in data manipulation and analysis
Experience with statistical modelling (e.g. GLMs) and tools like SAS, Emblem, Radar or R
A track record of using analytics to solve business problems and influence decisions
A proactive mindset – someone who challenges assumptions, thinks from the customer’s perspective, and explores new ideas
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
