Home Risk Pricing Manager
Location: Bexhill / Leicester / London.
We’re a digital insurance provider with ambitious plans to become the best and biggest in the UK market. We’ve made huge investments in our pricing and data capabilities over the past few years.
The risk pricing manager will lead a team of 2 analysts to deliver our profit and growth targets for home insurance.
Key Accountabilities
* Prioritise team resources and work stack items to help achieve our home profit and growth targets.
* Analyse various data sources (including loss, policy, quote and market data) to identify opportunities to improve risk pricing.
* Develop and deliver new insight, including integration of new data, innovative techniques, and ways of working.
* Work closely with Actuarial, Data Science, Underwriting, Data Engineering, Account Management, Retail and Counter Fraud / Digital teams.
* Critically review technical models produced by actuaries and data scientists.
* Analyse model outputs to determine the optimal way to combine them and improve the pricing algorithm.
* Identify segments where prices can be improved.
* Create and maintain tools that enable sourcing of new pricing leads on an automated basis.
* Represent the home team on underwriting projects to generate value for the wider business.
* Support the team through peer reviews, coaching and mentoring.
* Ensure fair and reasonable expectations for customers and provide fair outcomes.
What we’re looking for
* Strong general insurance background or knowledge preferred.
* Strong analysis and coding experience.
* Python preferred, but experience with other programming languages acceptable.
* Comfortable working with and analysing numerical/statistical data.
* Inquisitive, curious nature with a thirst for making change.
* Collaborates well with colleagues from own team and other teams.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
