About Manthorpe Building Products
Manthorpe Building Products is a leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of plastic injection moulded, vacuum formed, and extruded products for the building industry.
Role Overview
The ASM will be responsible for converting sales leads into profitable business contracts while developing and maximising relationships with existing and new customers, including Roofing, Builders, and Plumbing merchants and distributors. The role involves creating demand by engaging with builders and contractors and conducting site visits to ensure specifications are being met.
This position covers the South Thames area. Candidates should reside within the patch, including areas such as BN, BR, CR, CT, DA, GU, KT, ME, RH, SE, SM, SW, TN, TW.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain detailed records of all customer contacts and market intelligence using Salesforce.
* Generate sales leads and convert them into profitable business, focusing on strategic and target accounts.
* Develop long-term relationships with designated customers and identify new business opportunities.
* Provide accurate quotations and proposals aligned with customer requirements.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure resource availability for proposals.
* Advise customers on the product portfolio and seek opportunities to expand sales.
* Contribute to sales bids and support the business sales strategy.
* Assist in planning and communicating new product developments.
* Keep updated on technological advancements within the company's product area.
Skills & Requirements
* Experience in external sales or account management, preferably within the building construction industry.
* Good organizational and planning skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to produce accurate quotations and presentations.
* Driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.
