Technician Instructor (Welding and Fabrication)
Southampton Solent University’s Warsash Maritime School is seeking to appoint a Technician Instructor in Welding and Fabrication to contribute to the delivery of our specialist Marine Engineering seafarer programmes, with a particular focus on delivering MCA workshop skills courses delivered by the school. The successful candidate will participate in the commercial and research activities of the school, in addition to contributing to the delivery and enhancement of the student experience within the school of Technology and Maritime Industries.

The successful candidate will teach across a wide range of topics relating to welding and fabrication applied to both large and small vessel construction.
As a Welding Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality practical teaching and supervision across welding and fabrication programmes. Working within a safety-critical environment, you will ensure that all workshop activity is conducted in full compliance with HSE legislation and university policy.
