Part Time Finance Assistant (4 short days a week) | Aylesford (Hybrid) | Up to £30k pro rata My client is looking for a detail-driven and reliable Finance Assistant to support their Finance Manager with the day-to-day operations of their finance function. The focus will be on purchase ledger and banking responsibilities within a fast-paced based environment. Key Competencies Proven ability to maintain and manage a purchase ledger Experience matching purchase orders to goods received and resolving mismatches Strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers regarding aged creditors and payment plans Confident in posting and reconciling bank transactions across multiple platforms High level of accuracy and accountability Main Responsibilities Match purchase orders (POs) to GRNI records and manage any discrepancies Post non-PO invoices directly into the ledger for future payment Reconcile supplier statements and ensure all invoices are posted accurately Allocate supplier payments and maintain a clean ledger Perform bank reconciliations across all company-managed accounts Check bank accounts daily and post incoming cash receipts Complete and process new supplier account forms Reconcile credit card bank statements Post receipts from Stripe and Square, and notify sales teams of all proforma payments You'll be part of a collaborative finance team that values precision, ownership, and continuous improvement.
