We are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our travelling Race Operations team. This role is core to maintain and service plant, equipment and vehicles to obtain maximum efficiency and performance Main Duties & Responsibilities: Regular inspection of Company vehicles and plant to identify repairs and maintenance required at Formula 1 events. Undertake repairs on vehicles and plant in line with legal and H&S requirements. Co-ordinate the completion of external repairs with manager. Assist with movement of vehicles to service suppliers as required. Assist with rig and de-rig of the Event Technical Centre and ancillary equipment (e.g. deployment of nodes, cables, camera platforms, TAG clock, gazebo’s etc.) at Formula 1 events. Prepare circuit equipment e.g. GenSets for use at each event. Refuel equipment e.g. GenSets during the event. Operate lifting equipment as required and only when qualified to do so. Liaise with the Sea Freight department to ensure everything is ordered in a timely manner. To operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements. To undertake other duties within your capabilities as your manager may assign to you from time to time. What Are We Looking For? Our Person Specification: Qualifications NVQ vehicle mechanical and electronic systems qualification or equivalent Forklift / scissor lift licence would be desirable, but not essential EU driving licence HGV Licence an advantage Experience Proven experience working with Diesel powered vehicles / plant Previous experience of rigging and de-rigging large scale technical facilities, cable rigging is desirable, but not essential Knowledge & Skills Proven ability to assess service condition of vehicles, plant and equipment, fault find and rectify problems where applicable Good organisational skills Good communication skills Knowledge of Transport Law Personal Qualities Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team Flexible approach to work Can do attitude Other Willing to travel and work away for a minimum of 2-week periods Ability to participate in rig/de-rig of the Event Technical Centre and associated technical systems around the circuit Why join the force behind the sport?
