We are excited to offer a Degree Apprenticeship opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician at our Rushden site. This is a fantastic alternative to the traditional university route — you’ll gain hands-on experience in a real-world lab environment while studying towards a fully funded BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science through Manchester Metropolitan University (or a similar provider).

Key roles and responsibilities:
8. Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory
9. Perform routine checks and maintenance of lab equipment
10. Assist with stock management and ordering of supplies
11. Help introduce and validate new equipment
12. Carry out basic pharmaceutical sample analysis
13. Accurately document and report data
14. Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready lab environment
Requirements:
15. A minimum of 104 UCAS points, including relevant A-levels (e.g., Chemistry or Biology)
16. Strong academic performance and a genuine interest in science
17. Good scientific judgement and analytical thinking
18. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
19. A proactive, tidy, and methodical approach to work
20. A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Based in Northamptonshire, our Rushden site is a centre of excellence for Radiolabelled Sciences incorporating both Metabolism (which includes Clinical Metabolism, Pre-clinical ADME, In vitro and DDI services, Large Molecule Metabolism, Environmental Fate, Plant Metabolism and Metabolite Identification) in addition to Chemistry (which includes API and IMP manufacture).
