Summary
The Recovery Aide serves as a liaison between staff, communicating with nurses, counselors, and medication specialists. This role involves assisting patients and families in the behavioral health system to enhance recovery and wellness. Candidates should have experience, training, or education in addiction.
Responsibilities
* Monitor high-risk patients, assist with group participation, provide support, and redirect behaviors to promote recovery. Report outcomes daily.
* Conduct specialty groups such as “Under 30,” Relapse Prevention, and Young Adult Opioid Population; document attendance.
* Track and complete program evaluations; report data to leadership.
* Effectively relate and communicate with patients.
* Engage in recovery-oriented socialization and monitor patient activity.
* Document observations and activities accurately.
* Support the counseling team and meet with patients individually when appropriate.
* Uphold organizational values, boundaries, and policies.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Training in SMART recovery preferred; knowledge of treatment concepts and 12-Step groups.
* Proficient in data entry, Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and current CPR certification or certifiable.
