Are you a Site Engineer looking to build your experience in an exciting and diverse business? If the answer is yes, then Charles Brand want to hear from you!
We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in site operations, from site setup to completion. This role will commence working on a Corran Ferry Crossing in Scotland, however once completed there will be other exciting projects across the UK and Ireland.
What you'll do
Some of your key duties will include
Site Operations and Supervision
1. Oversee the daily site operations and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
2. Set out works and verifying levels, alignment and measurements.
3. Work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
4. Identify risks to project success and resolve or escalate these promptly.
5. Conduct progress reviews and provide updates to site management as required.
Compliance and Quality
6. Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality.
7. Ensure adequate permits are received before commencing any site activities.
8. Address any issues with non-compliance or poor quality, escalating and reporting as necessary.
Health, Safety and Sustainability
9. Promote safety as a core Company Value, in all activities.
10. Identify, report and correct any safety concerns, escalating where required.
11. Work with HSEQ and Sustainability teams to meet our objectives and communicate updates.
What you’ll bring
As a Site Engineer, it is essential to have;
12. Third level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or other related discipline
13. At least 2 years’ experience in a Civil Engineering role
14. Full driving license, that permits driving in the UK/Ireland
15. Flexibility to Travel and work on different projects across the UK and Ireland
16. IT Literacy in Microsoft Office packages
17. Effective Communication, both written and verbal,
18. Awareness of issues impacting the construction of Civil Engineering projects
19. Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and best practice
20. Experience of supervising others, including sub-contractors
It would also be desirable to have;
21. CSR, CSCS or Safe Pass card/certificate
22. Working knowledge of AutoCAD
