Job Description
Your role as Plant Logistics Lead is to coordinate, regulate and monitor all aspects of warehouse management and distribution/transport management.
You will act as a contract manager and be the face of O-I with our 3PL’s.
You will be accountable for the receiving, documenting and temporary warehousing of packaging components, storage of finished goods and collection of empty returnable packaging from customers.
Duties will include, but are not limited to;
* Ensure strict adherence to O-I’s Health and Safety policy, on site quality standards and SOP’s.
* Monitoring the service of the 3PL in line with the contract KPI
* Support a 24/7/365 operation with a team of over 50, managing the service of the 3PL in line with the contract KPI
* Develop, review and implement action plans with the 3PL to increase and drive performance improvement
* Ensure that the operation is aligned with business needs, including continuous improvement initiatives, cost efficiency and labour allocation
* Maintain and oversee the logistics P&L
* Work collaboratively with different functions across the plant, both internal and external to maintain service delivery.
* Develop and execute repair and maintenance plans for the warehouses and on-site Logistics facilities.
As well as on site Logistics, you are also accountable for the 3PL service at our external warehouses. Travel will be required to these external sites as well as travel to customer sites to undertake packaging counts.

Qualifications
* Operational experience in a comparable position in logistics / purchasing at site/plant level
* Experience in a matrixed organisation is desirable but not essential
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
