Shifts: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 15:30, Friday 07:30 - 15:00 Pay: £17.15 per hour, with overtime paid after 37 hours per week Requirements: Full UK driving licence with HGV (Category C) Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) Experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery Experience with side-arm flail or verge mowing equipment Ability to work outdoors in all weather and in physically demanding conditions Key Duties - Tractor Driver (Hedge, Tree & Grounds Maintenance) Operate a tractor with specialist attachments to cut and trim hedges along roadsides, site boundaries, and large open public spaces. Trim overgrown trees, shrubs, and other plant growth to maintain clear sightlines and prevent hazards for traffic or pedestrians. Perform general grass cutting and grounds maintenance on large public fields and open areas. Identify and remove any natural obstructions or overgrowth that could pose a safety hazard. Ensure all work is carried out safely, following relevant traffic management and site safety procedures. Assist with setting up and removing traffic management signage and cones around working areas where applicable. Perform routine maintenance and checks on tractor and attachments to ensure safe and efficient operation. Report any damage, hazards, or operational issues to supervisors promptly. Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, clearing cut material and debris as required. Support other site operatives as needed to ensure smooth and safe operations across roadsides, public spaces, and fields. Equipment Checks and Maintenance Carry out daily safety checks on tractors and equipment. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery. Report defects or breakdowns to supervisors. Follow strict health and safety procedures, especially when working near traffic or the public. Use correct PPE and safe working practices. Complete inspection records and worksheets. Report completed jobs or issues to supervisors.
