Salary: Grade D, £25,583 – £26,403, actual salary for term-time only £21,893 – £22,595

About us:
We are an Alternative Provision school with four campuses, each supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. We see every young person as an individual and work with them in ways that suit their unique strengths and challenges.
Our goal is to help students grow into confident, independent, and happy people who can make a positive impact wherever life takes them.
To do this, we draw on approaches like PACE, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Growth Mindset, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Restorative Justice. Familiarity with these ideas is helpful, but not essential—you'll have plenty of support to learn along the way.
If you're looking for a role that challenges, rewards, and fills you with purpose in a world where every day is unique and every moment counts, this could be the role for you
What you'll be doing:
* Working 1:1 with a student at our Parkstone campus who needs extra support to engage with learning.
* Encouraging and supporting the student to attend lessons and take part in the work set by their teacher.
* Helping them understand the value of qualifications as a foundation for their future.
* Using patience, understanding, and positivity to build trust and keep them motivated.
* Working flexibly and using your initiative to meet the student's needs both in school and, when required, in the community.
* Being part of an inclusive and collaborative team who face challenges together and are committed to seeing them through.
Who we're looking for:
* Someone patient, understanding, flexible, resilient and positive.
* A person who can form supportive relationships and encourage a young person to re-engage with their education.
* Experience of working with young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
* A reasonable grasp of basic IT programmes.
* A full driving licence and access to transport (essential, as some community work may be required).
Why join us?
* The chance to make a huge difference in the lives of young people, one small victory at a time.
* Friday afternoons off
* Comprehensive support, Induction and training package
* We're a supportive team who'll have your back during the good, the bad, and the "Did that really just happen?" moments.
* Professional development opportunities because we're all about helping you grow, both as a person and in your ability to juggle six things at once
* You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team that, no matter what the challenge may be, are ready to face it head on and are committed to seeing it through.
* A school that celebrates progress, not just results.
* A rewarding role where no two days are the same and every day makes a difference
* The opportunity to develop your career in a School and Delta Education Trust, a growing Trust. Our ethos is encompassed in our vision "Learning together in pursuit of happiness". This means we really care whether students love or hate their learning, so we work hard to create a space where students learn together to become knowledgeable, self-aware, independent and happy people who make a positive difference, wherever life takes them.
Join us and help make every day a chance for a student to grow, succeed, and feel valued – your impact starts here
